Educational content, not medical advice
Everything on this site is published for general education. It is not medical advice, it does not create a clinician-patient relationship, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of a clinician who knows your case. Decisions about tests and treatments, including injections and surgery, should be made with your own clinicians. If you have new or fast-worsening weakness, trouble swallowing or breathing, or lose consciousness when you move your head, seek emergency care.
Listings are not endorsements
The resource pages list clinicians, clinics, imaging centers and other providers. A listing means only that the provider was identified in the sources named on that page. It is not a recommendation, a referral or an endorsement by the National Foundation for ME/CFS Research. Any research or financial relationship between the foundation and a listed provider will be disclosed on the page concerned. Directories compiled by other groups are reproduced with credit to those groups and were not independently audited by us unless the page says so.
No warranty of accuracy or currency
We try to be accurate and we date our pages, but we cannot guarantee that any listing, price, availability, credential or protocol is current or complete. Prices and availability are as patients reported them and change often. Always confirm directly with the provider before travelling or paying. Much of the clinical material discussed on this site rests on case reports and case series; where that is so, the page says so.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the National Foundation for ME/CFS Research, its directors, officers, volunteers and contributors are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including content contributed by others.
Links to other sites
We link to third-party websites, papers, videos and community forums for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.
Contributed information
If you write to us with information about a provider, an imaging center or your own experience, you agree that we may edit, condense, verify, decline or publish what you send, with your name removed unless you ask otherwise. Do not send us other people's health information. We do not publish an identifiable account of a named provider from a single correspondent without verifying it by an external signal, such as a call to the provider, the provider's own website or a public record.
Corrections and removal
If you are a listed provider, or you believe something on this site is inaccurate, write to [email protected] with the page address and the text concerned. We aim to respond within five business days. A listed provider may ask to be removed from a directory page at any time and will be removed without argument. Each page carries a "last reviewed" date.
Copyright and reuse
Text written by the foundation may be quoted with attribution and a link. Directories compiled by other groups remain those groups' work and are reproduced here with credit; ask them before reusing. Papers and other sources linked from this site belong to their publishers.
Privacy notice
- This site does not use cookies, analytics or tracking of its own. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address in that request. We are working to serve fonts from our own site instead.
- If you email us, we keep your message to reply to it and to act on corrections. Emails may contain health information you choose to share; we do not share it with anyone else and we delete correspondence on request. Write to the same address to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.
- If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights set out in the GDPR and UK GDPR, including access, correction and erasure; the contact for all of them is [email protected].
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of the District of Columbia.
